Teacher Grants

Teachers, here's a list of the grants I've posted this week Jan. 1st-7th on my facebook page:

The weekends might be the time you really work on them, so here they are:

United Health Foundation $500 or $1000 minigrants to help fund your Kick Butt's Day events:
If you are planning a Kick Butt's Day on March 21, 2012, an event to raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco at your local schools, the United Health Foundation is giving out 30 minigrants ($500 or $1000) to help fund the events! Applications need to be in before Jan. 27, 2012. Go here to apply and learn more.

Classroom Improvement Technology Grant:
I hope you all try for this one, it looks amazing! This one is for all teachers K-12 in the U.S. in accredited, nonprofit school buildings! 10 lucky classrooms will be awarded up to a $3600 grant package from Samsung Mobile, BrainPOP, Turning Technologies and Turning Foundation Partner. The grant package includes:
  • Samsung Tablet
  • A classroom access subscription to BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr.
  • and one 32 seat student response system

Elmer's and Kids in Need Foundation Teacher Tool Kit Grants:
Starting Feb. 14th, 2012, you can apply for the Elmers Teacher Tool Kit grant valued from $100-$500. Around 250 grants will be given to those teachers who wish to conduct classroom projects selected from their storehouse of past Kids in Need projects. All certified K-12 teachers are eligible and encouraged to apply, but special considerations will be given to first year teachers on this one!

Kids in Needs and Red Vines School Supply Story Contest:
How do school supplies make a difference in your lives, your students, and your classrooms? Kids in Need and Red Vines are teaming up to give 6 $500 classroom grants to K-12 teachers for the most passionate, creative entries. 2 $500 grants will be given to each age category (K-4, 5-8, 9-12). Also, facebook voters will vote for their favorite in each category to get a $250 prize.
Entries need to be in by Feb. 8th, 2012. Voting begins Feb. 20th, 2012. Good luck!

Win a Wireless Lab from CDWG and Discovery Education:
Three $40,000 wireless lab grand prizes will be given out that includes a $5000 technology grant from Discovery Education. They also have weekly prizes, like tablets, projectors, printers, and interactive whiteboards! Amazing!!!
