Slow-Cooker Sunday: Crockpot Chicken & Stuffing

For those of you that are new to Teacher's Market, I post a different quick and easy recipe each Sunday to help you prepare for those busy and hectic school nights ahead.

I have mostly been posting Crockpot recipes because I think using the Crockpot is just the best way to go.  Usually the prep. time is fast and then you can forget about the meal until dinnertime and then at the end of the day you'll have a wonderful meal all ready for you when you come home from a busy school day.

Plus, using the Crockpot right now in the heat of summer is nice because it won't heat up your house like the oven does.

If you have quick and easy recipes you'd like to share with other teachers, please leave a comment below with the recipe or email me the recipe at utahteachersmarket@gmail.com and I'll be happy to share it next week.

This week it's all about Chicken.  This is another recipe I got from my friend, but you can also find at here.

5-Ingredient Crockpot Chicken & Stuffing

4 thawed chicken breasts
1 (6oz.) box of Stove Top Stuffing Mix, unprepared
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10.75 oz.)  can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup water

Combine sour cream, soup and water and mix well in a bowl.  Place chicken side-by-side in the bottom of the Crockpot.  Season the chicken breasts with pepper and garlic powder.

Spread the stuffing mix over the chicken breasts, then pour the soup mix over the top.

Cook on Low for 4 hours.  (double-check your cooking temperature and time, as it may vary.)

Serve with your favorite vegetable or salad.
