Slow-Cooker Sunday Recipe: Chicken Filling for Tacos

I appreciate the teachers who have submitted yummy Crockpot Recipes to share with all of us this summer break, so we will have new recipes to try for the new 2015-2016 school year.  If you have  easy Crockpot Recipes you'd like to share, please email me at utahteachersmarket@gmail.com and I'll be happy to share it on the blog.

Chicken Filling for Tacos or Chicken Topping for Rice:

This first recipe makes a yummy filling for tortillas or a topping for rice.  Just throw it all in the slow-cooker together.  Chicken can be frozen and will still cook through.  Play with the proportions to taste.

2-3 Boneless Chicken Breasts

Large can black beans
Large can chopped tomatoes
Envelope taco seasoning (OR use seasoned beans and tomatoes with chilies)

Cook all day on low. When ready to eat, shred the chicken with two forks.
