If you know an amazing K-12 teacher who teaches American history, be sure to nominate them for the Gilder Lehrman National History Teacher of the Year.
State winners will receive a $1,000 prize, an archive of classroom resources and recognition at a ceremony in their state.
National winner chosen from state winners will receive a $10,000 prize presented at an awards ceremony in New York City.
To be eligible:
The nominated teacher must have at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
Must be planning to teacher for at least one year following the award year.
Self nominations are not accepted.
Past state and national winners are not eligible.
The deadline to nominate is April 30th, 2024.
